Who I Am

As a part of a bohemian group of friends in my twenties in Santa Cruz, I struggled to find an outlet to express myself artistically. It all clicked when I was given an old camera, finally realizing a way for that to happen. Eventually making my way to the prestigious Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, I found opportunity to blend my passion with an occupation. Moving to New York in the fledgling days of digital capture, I was able to learn as the technology grew, starting my own capture/retouching company and watching it grow for a decade.

As I reached the end of my thirties, I decided to focus more on the retouching side and moved back to California to work freelance, eventually moving into full-lance and then full time with I/D.W. for 7 years. Working with them I have had experience retouching a full spectrum of imagery from still-life to lifestyle to beauty and portraiture, etc.

Now I have returned to the freelance lifestyle and am ready for whatever comes next, to continue retouching and delve into the AI space.
